Texas Chemistry · Designed for Grade 10 learners
Investigate matter.
Explain change with evidence.
Chemistry connects particle structure and interactions to the properties and changes we can observe. In each unit, you will use models, measurements, calculations, and data to build a scientific explanation.
Each unit begins with an illustrated Lesson and practice model, followed by missions and an applied Case File based on a real event, technology, or scientific problem. Optional Honors work adds more quantitative reasoning and modeling without changing the core learning path.

Build from measurement to nuclear change
The sequence begins with reliable measurement and atomic structure, then develops the relationships among bonding, quantity, reactions, energy, and the behavior of matter.
Course alignment: Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Chemistry, . Content standards appear in each unit; scientific and engineering practices are integrated throughout the investigations.
Scientific and engineering practices
Use evidence, models, and scientific reasoning
These practices are integrated throughout the course. You will ask questions, plan investigations, analyze data, construct explanations, and evaluate how chemistry connects to society and STEM work.
